Meet Alan Soutar
Born in Dundee and proudly representing Arbroath, Alan Soutar's route to professional darts is unlike most. Before competing on the PDC circuit, he served as a British Army commando before becoming a full-time firefighter, balancing his career in the emergency services with life on the professional darts tour. His dedication and resilience have made him a firm favourite with fans around the world.
From Firefighter to PDC Champion
After earning his PDC Tour Card at UK Qualifying School in 2021, Soutar made an immediate impact. He enjoyed memorable runs to the Last 16 of the PDC World Championship in both 2022 and 2023, reached the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 Grand Slam of Darts, and claimed his maiden PDC ranking title at Players Championship 11 in 2024.
